Jane Bloodgood-Abrams
My work has continued to explore the unique light and dramatic atmosphere of the Hudson Valley. High vantage points with emphasis on clouds and a sense of space excite and inspire me. With these pieces I seek to transcend the landscape as mere subject matter, and use it as a tool to illustrate nature’s spiritual and emotional essence. In many works I may use the composition or representation of the image in such a way as to present the landscape as iconography, to be worshiped and revered.
